a little bit about me

Hi there. I am thankful and delighted to have you here. In this space, I invite you into a little piece of my mind and heart. I find my passion in capturing the profound beauty that often goes unnoticed; the attendance of shadows in the presence of light nearby, the intricate details of perfectly imperfect elements of nature, and the essence that defines and connects us as human beings.

As an artist, I am deeply fascinated by the unique complexities of the human experience and the interplay between the visible and invisible realms of existence. Through my artwork, I strive to capture moments of transcendence and evoke emotional connections with the viewer. Drawing inspiration from both the natural world and the land of imagination, my creative process is a constant exploration of form, color, texture, and most importantly, feeling. I employ a wide range of mediums, including oils, acrylics, watercolors, charcoals, inks, and mixed media, to imbue each piece with its own unique energy and narrative. Every stroke of the brush, pen, or pencil is an outpouring of my sentiments that find their truest form through art. I believe that art has the power to transcend language and communicate emotions that words alone often fail to capture. Art isn’t merely a creation, but a connection- a way to share the deep relativity and relatability that we have with the world around us. It is my intention to create a visual language that resonates with the viewer on a profound level, inviting them to question, reflect, and embrace their own vulnerabilities and desires, or simply just to find comfort and company in the work.

I often explores themes of togetherness and solitude, love, identity, shadows, memory, dreams, magic, and the ephemeral nature of time. I am particularly drawn to the transient moments that hold profound significance in our lives – the fleeting glimpse of a loved one, the ethereal beauty of a sunset sky, the way the little hair on your arms may stand and dance at the sound of a gorgeous melody, or the delicate lines etched on a weathered face. Through a combination of realism and surrealism, I seek to create a visual narrative that goes beyond the boundaries of reality, allowing the viewer to embark on a personal journey of introspection and self-discovery. I invite them to step into a world where imagination reigns, and emotions find solace in the canvas or paper. In essence, my art is an expression of the human spirit, a testament to our capacity to experience joy, pain, and everything in between, because each and every one of us feels all of it at our own divine timing. I strive to create art that is relatable yet subjective, inviting the viewer to uncover their own truths within the layers of each piece. Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to create a dialogue between the viewer, the artwork, and myself. I believe that art has the power to ignite conversations, challenge societal norms, inspire change, ignite a wonder of self discovery, and spark love.

In times when I feel adrift from my truest self, I turn to the sweet embrace of nature, the soothing ritual of slowing down for a cup of hot tea, the tranquility of meditation and prayer, the rejuvenation of a hike, the indulgence of fine chocolate, and to the unconditional warmth and love from the people I love. Nothing fuels me more than knowing I get the privilege to extend the love and light they have given me, onto other people I may come across.

Through my dedication and passion for creation, I aim to leave a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of those who encounter my work. I deeply invite you to slow down, take a couple of extra seconds to yourself, at the park or in your home, to notice all the tiny beautiful things around you. It is always there no matter where you are. In this ever-evolving world where it seems like everything moves faster than the speed of light, art remains an anchor for emotional connection and contemplation. You can always find it if you choose to slow down and simply '“look”, for there is light even in the darkest of shadows; we must see it, feel it, be it, and spread it.  It is my hope that my artwork serves as a testament to the enduring power of creativity, reminding us of the profound beauty that exists within each and every one of us every single day. May my work remind you of the magic within us all, for we are all artists sharing this whimsical journey through life- all complete works in progress working on completing works in progress.

Thank you for being here, and thank you, for being here.

with gratitude and love,
